Door and window hardware refers to all kinds of metal and non-metal accessories installed on building doors and windows. It plays an auxiliary role in the opening and closing of doors and windows. The surface is generally treated by plating or coating, which has the characteristics of firmness, durability, flexibility, economy and beauty. So what does door and window hardware mean?
Building door lock
A lock installed on the door leaf and frame of a building that needs to be opened and closed. Generally, it is composed of lock body (including lock tongue, door and window hardware, operating mechanism and braking mechanism), lock panel, handle and cover plate. The lock tongue can be divided into oblique tongue, square tongue, double tongue, bead touching tongue and hook tongue. The lock panel can be divided into flat mouth, left tongue, right tongue and round mouth. The handle can be divided into ball shape, bent handle shape and pull ring shape. Building door locks can be divided into door locks, room locks, bathroom locks, wind proof access locks and toilet locks according to the use occasions; single insurance, double insurance and three insurance door locks according to the insurance performance; external door locks, plug-in door locks and spherical door locks according to the structural characteristics.
① External door lock: the lock body covers the surface of the door leaf. ② Plug in door lock: the lock body is embedded in the door leaf from the side of the door leaf. There are two kinds of blade structure and billiard structure. The main products are sliding door lock, single tongue lock, single oblique tongue lock, single oblique tongue button lock, double tongue lock, double tongue press lock, blade handle lock, etc.

Handle
It is used to open and close metal window sashes. It is generally installed in the middle of the edge of the window sash, and some are also designed to be connected with the bolt to move the door and window hardware. It is made of brass, low carbon steel, zinc alloy, stainless steel and other materials, with nickel, chromium or zinc plating on the surface.
Sliding brace
It is used to position the open metal window sash. It is generally installed at the lower edge of the window sash, and some are also designed to be connected with the hinge. It is made of brass, low carbon steel, zinc alloy, stainless steel and other materials, with nickel, chromium or zinc plating on the surface. The varieties include eye brace, double arm brace, swing brace, mobile brace, etc.
Hinge
Also called hinge. It is a kind of door and window hardware which can make the door and window open and close freely. The hinge is composed of a blade and a pin. The blade is made of low carbon steel strip, which can rotate freely around the pin shaft. The pin shaft is made of low carbon cold drawn steel wire or spring steel wire. There are three kinds of hinges: common hinge, spring hinge and window hinge.
Door closer
An appliance that can automatically close or fix an open door leaf at a certain position. Some have the function of hinge, some have the function of fireproof. The main varieties are floor spring, door top spring, door catapult, door maker, door chuck, magnetic door stopper, etc.
① Earth spring: also known as Earth Dragon. It is installed in the lower part of doors and windows. It is made of gray cast iron, carbon steel, spring steel, cast steel, etc.
② Door top spring: an automatic door closing device that uses the spring force of spring or spiral spring to close the door. The buffer cylinder is installed inside to reduce the closing speed.
③ Door slingshot: it is made of low carbon steel strip, and is equipped with low carbon cold drawn steel ejector, which can close the door by elastic force.
④ Door brake: a simple positioner for braking door leaf and avoiding collision between door leaf and wall. The utility model is installed at the outer lower corner of the door leaf, so that the door leaf can be positioned at any angle.
⑤ Door chuck: a device for fixing and opening door leaves. The utility model is composed of a knife edge shaped base and a triangular steel sheet chuck. There are horizontal and vertical. The base is made of gray cast iron, the chuck is made of spring steel, and the surface is blunted.
⑥ Magnetic door suction head: the function is the same as the hardware head of the door and window, which uses the suction of the permanent magnet to fix the door leaf without noise.
handle
It is installed on the door leaf of the building to pull and open the door leaf. Generally, the device is installed outside the door leaf of the building, which is required to be practical, solid and decorative. Handle has round handle, square handle, round pipe handle, double row handle and other shapes. It is generally made of low carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy and plexiglass.
Bolt
Used to bolt doors and windows when they are closed. There are common type, closed type, tube type, butterfly type, concealed type, up and down long type, window type and so on. It is made of low carbon steel.
Window hook
It is installed on the wooden window to fix the open window sash. It is generally made of low carbon steel wire and galvanized on the surface.
Anti theft chain
Also known as safety chain. It consists of two chain plates and a connecting chain. The chain plate is respectively installed on the door leaf and the door frame. The anti-theft chain can limit the door leaf to a small opening angle (generally no more than 8 degrees), and effectively prevent outsiders from entering.
Induction door opening device
An electronic device for automatically opening a door leaf. The main device is microwave induction or light control induction contact. It can automatically input the induction signal of human body or object to make the door open or close automatically. It is generally used with automatic door and transmission machinery.
